I'm putting Pumpkin Pie back in diapers.
Everything you read and every piece of advice I've been given makes some reference to "let the kid guide you." Well, this kid is guiding us right back into diapers. She did fairly well for a month, but I guess it's not important anymore. Using disposable pull-ups was seriously stressing me out, because it truly is not an expense we can handle right now. When you use cloth diapers, it's not like you are seeing an extra whatever amount in your bank account each month. For us, it was more of an excellent way to eliminate an expense so we could live within our means. And the cloth trainers just do not hold wet. So if she has decided to just go in her pants, which I believe she has decided to do, then we might as well go back to our cloth diapers.
So, sad day for me. Also a little relieving. I had to be induced at 38 weeks with Pumpkin Pie because my blood pressure shot out of control. I'm 32 weeks pregnant with Pumpkin Pie #2, and the doctor informed me this week that my blood pressure is starting to creep back up. Potty training has been a HUGE source of stress for me, so I'm going to eliminate that stress, since she doesn't seem interested anymore. I think this will be a good thing for my overall health. Maybe she'll surprise me one day by simply asking to go potty. Until then, I'm definitely going to wait until after this baby is born to try again.
And thus ends the Saga of Potty Training: Attempt #2.
