We're in a pretty steady rhythm with the whole potty-training thing. No real forward progress, just a lot of the same each day. She goes in the potty. She goes in her pull-up. She goes in the big potties at stores.
Another routine I seem to have locked us into is the reading of stories while sitting on the potty. I've mentioned before how much she LOVES to read stories. So she will sit on the potty for as long as I will read to her, whether she has to go potty or not. It's starting to get a little old for me. So to change things up, I've been asking her if she wants to go on the big potty. She loves that too; she calls it "Mommy's potty." AND we get pretty much instant results, since I don't read her stories while she's up there.
I have a sneaking suspicion that she might fall in the toilet one of these days. She's so little, and that opening is so big. She does well perched on the end, but one wrong move will send her backwards into a surprising splash-down. Maybe I should start keeping the camera in the bathroom just in case, because I'm pretty sure I'm going to want a picture of that.
I'm pleased with how well she is doing, but hope we can move out of this rut soon. We've had no more #2 successes. And I'd love to see a dry pull-up for longer than 3 hours. Maybe soon.
