I was going to try a monthly report card feature last year...then I got pregnant and a lot of my big plans got flushed down the toilet along with the contents of my stomach each day. But I'm ready to give it another whirl.
I'll be honest: I'm not a fan of the first three or four months of the year. They are cold and boring. And long. But January actually sailed by, thanks in part to our move. That was a lot of work that gave me purpose each day. I'm a little surprised that we're already on the last day of the month.
I'm happy to report I accomplished my goal for January, which was move. And simplify. I am so proud of myself for all the things that I gave to Goodwill. And I still have a big box and bag to take. And I could probably fill at least two more boxes. This whole purging/simplifying thing is going to be ongoing for me. I'm inspired and committed.
I've also been keeping track of the books I've read. Here is my list for January (titles in red were books read for book reviews):
Invasion by Jon S. Lewis
Five Simple Ways to Grow a Great Family by Carol Kuykendall
Rocking the Roles by Robert Lewis and William Hendricks
Save the Date by Jenny B. Jones
Cape Refuge by Terri Blackstock
The Real Skinny on Losing It by Michelle McKinney Hammond
Scandalous Grace by Julie Ann Barnhill
And that's all I have to show for this month. Now onto February.
