New Goal

I've come up with another goal to add to my list of having one goal a month: make hair bows.

At the last MOPS meeting there were several vendors who had set up shop.  The usual: Pampered Chef, Lia Sophia jewelry, etc.  There was also a mom who had made hair bows.   I don't have very many for my girls, mostly due to the fact that until just recently I couldn't keep them in Pumpkin Pie's hair.  She'd just pull them out.  Well, I guess 2 1/2 is a magical age when little girls decide they want to look pretty, and are willing to keep bows in their hair.  So I pulled out some of Pumpkin Pie's Christmas money and bought a few.

Those puppies were kind of expensive.  Cute, but just a little pricey.

Now, I have done zero research, but I think I might be able to make my own bows.  All you need is ribbon, a barrette and a hot glue gun, right?  Or am I missing something?  And are bows expensive because they cost that much to make?  Well, I have two little girls, and I don't enjoy spending $3.00 per bow, so I would love to find out.

Here is my updated goal list:

January - Move.

February - Make a Homemaking Binder.

March - Send out my stories.

April - Make a Felt Doll Set.

May -  Plant Garden Pots.

June - Make a Sourdough Starter.

July -  Make Homemade Laundry Detergent.

August - Make hair bows.

I hope I'm creative enough for this.  I'm actually looking forward to the ribbon shopping that will be involved.  Any of you crafty people out there have any tips?  Is this a bigger project than I realize?

  1. I can't imagine it would be all that hard. As long as you use coupons for Hobby Lobby or Michaels for supplies, I'm sure you can whip these out easily. Definitely google tutorials I'm sure there are a ton out there. If you want an extra set of hands let me know, I'm always up for craft projects!
