Am I REALLY Ordinary?

I think I'm coming to the realization that no one is 100% ordinary.  There is always something that sets them apart, that makes them stand out from everyone else.  You may have to dig deeper in some to find it, but it's probably there.

I admit that I haven't spent too much time on this, but I think that the Bible says that if you are a believer, a follower of Christ, then you are not ordinary.  Believers are chosen by God, and that is extraordinary.

John 15:19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.
Ephesians 1:11-12 In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.
Colossians 3:12  Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
And so on.  There are plenty.  So does that make my ordinary life actually extraordinary?  Are the ordinary things I do extraordinary because I have been chosen?  I don't know.  I'm trying to reconcile my every day with the plan God has for me.  He knew what my life would be like with three small girls.  He knew the monotonous tasks that are required when raising children.  He knew what our budget would be and where we would live and the current state of our culture.

My point?  I don't really have one today.  But it is pretty special to be chosen.  And you can be chosen too, if you're not.  Leave a comment with your email and I'll be happy to dialogue with you.
