Exhibit D: The Spice Cabinet

Both shelves look like this.  I didn't feel the need to be redundant.
I love it when my husband is cooking and asks, "Where's the garlic powder?" or "Where's the cayenne?" or "Where's the hamburger seasoning?"  My answer is always the same: "In the spice cabinet!"

I have no rhyme or reason in there.  As you can see, they don't even all stand up right, because I stack some on top of others and they're not all the same shape so they don't stand neatly together.  Granted the ones I use the most are generally toward the front and the ones I use the least are generally toward the back.  I used to use a fancy little spice shelf, but then we moved into this house and my spice cabinet is a narrow little thing, so they all just got shoved in there.

I choose to believe that THIS is the normal kind of ordinary.  If you have yours arranged on a shelf or in a fancy drawer or on a fancy spice rack, then give yourself a pat on the back.  You are extraordinary.

What does your spice rack look like?
