Exhibit M - Our Ordinary House

Home Sweet Home - dead trees and all
Nothing sparks jealousy faster in me than other people's houses.  It's a battle that I fight every time.  Especially the houses of people my age and my season of life.  Nothing makes you feel more like a schlub or a failure to see someone your age with a house ten times more fabulous than yours.

But we have a home.  We own our home.  It fits our needs.  And it may take us another year to save up the money to have those dead trees removed, but it's ours.  And I'm grateful.  So the point of today's post is to show you our ordinary home and to make you feel better about yours.  Resist the American way that may make you feel compelled to live in a bigger, better place just because everyone else is.  Choose to live in an ordinary way that fits where you are in life.  Home is where the heart is, and all that.

Jesus did promise that He was preparing a place for us in His Father's house.  And I can't even imagine how much better it will be than where I'm living now.  So I can wait here.
