Exhibit A: The Pumpkin Pie Patch Blog

There are some fancy, slick, professional blogs out there.  This is not one of them.  I'd be lying if I didn't admit to the smidgen of blog envy that I have to wipe off my chin every time I visit one of those professional blogs, but it's an ordinary that I've embraced.  I use The Cutest Blog on the Block for all my background/banner needs.  They're cute and they're free.  My blog names has .blogspot.com in it, for goodness' sake, which screams free.  Using free stuff automatically makes you ordinary, since it's available for anyone and everyone to use.

Yes, I've downloaded every free (seeing a theme here?) e-book on how to make money with your blog, but I'm not sure I'll ever get there.  I don't really have a subject matter niche that is the cornerstone of a successful, income-making blog.  I use this blog as an outlet, because I love to write.  But I have no expertise in one area that would draw like-minded folk to my blog looking for inspiration or whatnot.  So as a result, I haven't been able to justify the expense it would take to hire a graphic designer to help with a unique looking blog or to buy my own domain name.

Maybe someday I'll be inspired or God will instruct me otherwise.  But for now, this is my ordinary blog.
